It has a significant negative impact
on quality of life for those of us living within a mile or so of the freeway but it would be such a
gargantuan project that I am deferring it for now.)

Cars - reducing speeding in residential areas, changing traffic patterns, improving experience for
pedestrians and cyclists.

Community Garden

Seeing Main Street not be such a hub for people out of the system mental health prisons ect.
Everybody deserves the right to proper accomadations programs that help them feel useful.
Access to public restrooms like in San Francisco.

Public Schools
Access to music and art in the new downtown

Smart, sustainable development

Safety for our children

Page 31

[Disabled]

[Disabled]

[Disabled)

[Disabled)

[Disabled]

[Disabled]

[Disabled]

[Disabled]

Making downtown a vibrant, fun, pedestrian friendly place to go. Eager for the new movie theater, [Disabled]
new businesses, and the Plaza.

I loved Redwood City and the responsiveness of the City and County's elected officials. However,
the problems that my neighbors and I faced in Bayshore Villa (and in other mobilehome parks)
could not be resolved because of little understanding of the few rights its residents have and a
reluctance or inability to buck the business interests that see park residents as commodities and
not stakeholders. Ultimately, even though I learned a great deal about working within my
community, we did not have the power or clout to save ourselves from the rapaciousness of the
park's owners. I, and many of my neighbors, lost my home.

I would like to better understand the education system within Redwood City. In addition, I would
like to understand the public use and public access rules of our parks systems. I would like to
encourage a greater degree of open space availability.

The Redwood City Library

I believe that people are busy and aren't as interested in becoming involved "for the sake of the
community." That is why I participate in the Rowing and Paddling Club. We have tried to make a
small difference in people's lives and people who have lived in Redwood Shores for YEARS are
meeting each other and sharing an interest together. I believe that opportunities like that really
tie the community together in stronger ways than focus groups or home owners associations. The
more hobby groups, the more people will interact together in a meaningful way and develop real
friendships.

The library.
