Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation

.

Construct a shallow groundwater monitoring well (Well GEI-MWI) at the BAGG
Boring EB-3 location. The well will be constructed of four (4)-inch polyvinyl chloride
(PVC) casing set at a maximum twelve (12) feet depth. The well will be gently
surged prior to emp1acing a bentonite seal in order to settle the filter pack. The top of
the well casing will have a locking well cap and a traffic-rated well box.

. After well construction, the well will be developed by a C57 licensed driller to
prepare the well for groundwater sampling.

.

Collect and dispose of well purge water offsite.

.

Survey the elevation and location of the new groundwater monitoring well as well as
the five (5) GEl borings and past BAGG borings relative to a local City bench mark.

Task 6. Well Groundwater Sampling

.

Gauge and collect a groundwater sample from Well GEl-MWI using standard
industry protocol on a quarterly basis for one (1) year, a total of four (4) sampling
events.

. Place water generated from the well purge and decon activities in a DOT 55-gallon
drum. Seal, label and place the drum in the City parking lot for temporary storage
prior to appropriate offsite disposal (paid by GEl, City identified as Generator).

Task 7. Laboratory Analyses

.

Submit the soil and groundwater samples to a California-certified laboratory
following chain of custody protocol.

.

Analyze a maximum of sixteen (16) soil samples for total extractable petroleum
hydrocarbons (TEPH) via Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8015M
