6.2.13. - Page 39
Training Pian
Scheidt & Bachmann offers a comprehensive training plan designed to have the entire parking
staff of the City become fluent and efficient in the operation of the Scheidt & Bachmann's PARCS
solution.
To ensure that there is a thorough understanding of the City's parking policies and procedures
and thereby no conflicts in the proposed training directives, S&B and the City's administration
staff will meet 4 weeks prior to the beginning of the training sessions. At that time, a policies
and procedures document will be drafted and the training curriculums will be adjusted to conform
to those policies and procedures. The final document will be provided to Scheidt & Bachmann
2 weeks prior to the first training session to ensure that the training modules adhere to the
operational guidelines.
We have indicated the sessions with the number of participants. Those numbers can be
adjusted based on the final breakdown of the staff members. The attendees for each session
must have a working knowledge of basic PC operations including mouse and keyboard
operation, GUI operation, and sign -on and sign -off procedures. The training program includes
the appropriate manuals and documentation and any demonstrative hand-outs that the trainer
requires.
Cashier Training
Initial Training Session
When: 17 days post short term lot acceptance
# of Attendees: 37 (20 full-time)
# of Sessions: 5 (7 attendees maximum per session / attendees must attend 2
sessions)
Session Length: 2 Hours
Description: The training session will include a discussion on the PARCS system functionality.
Operations to be covered include logging on and off, processing cash, check, and credit card
transactions, receipt printer operation, lost ticket transactions, insufficient funds transactions,
emergency procedures, and relief staff procedures.
Each cashier will be tested using actual fee computers with machine readable and non -readable
tickets.
