Amendment No. 2 includes the expanded time and scope of <br />work, and is to be paid for by the City and the YMCA equally ($37,500 each). <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The City Council approved the Professional Design Agreement with ELS Architecture <br />and Urban Design for Phase II (conceptual design and schematic design) of this project <br />for a total of $867,990, and Amendment No. 1 for an additional amount of $83,005 <br />due to the need for further community outreach and to develop traffic calming plans. <br />The proposed amendment in an amount not to exceed $75,000 is due to negotiated <br />reimbursable expenses and additional scope of work between the City and the YMCA. <br />This amount will be split equally between the City and the YMCA. <br />The City has allocated a total of $15 million towards the Project to date with $14 <br />million coming from the Parks Impact Fees (development fees) and $1 million <br />from the commitment from Stanford University's development agreement with the City. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The requested action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA). As described above, an EIR will be prepared consistent with CEQA.
