Daniel Iacofano, of Moore, Iacofano and Goltsman, Inc. (MIG) presented a proposal for the <br /> vision portion of the process. He stated the community vision would feed into the actual writing <br /> of the General Plan. <br /> <br /> Council Members expressed concem with how to integrate work already begun by Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission's work on the department's strategic plan, the vision work of the <br /> Downtown Area Plan Task Force, and the Interim Urgency Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Planning Commissioners commented that the consultant must define a final product and that an <br /> outline of technicalities must be presented prior to the visioning element. <br /> <br /> Public Comment: <br /> <br /> Rudy Luca asked whether a consultant was used in 1976 and stated his confidence in the <br /> Planning Commission and City Council. <br /> <br /> City Manager Everett stated the Planning Commission has heard the concerns of the Council <br /> and will ferret out the scope of the project with staffand the consultant and move forward. <br /> <br />10. The <br /> meeting was adjourned in honor of Redwood City Firefighter Matt Smith who passed away <br /> earlier in the day on February 5, 2001 at the age of 33. Firefighter Smith was a 5-year employee <br /> with the City and leaves his wife and two children.
