CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> TFHS AGREEMENT is entered into as of the 30th day of July, 2001, by and between <br />the City of Redwood City ("City") and Stan T. Yamamoto ("Employee"). <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is desirous of employing Employee as the City Attorney for the City <br />of Redwood City and the Employee is desirous of being the City Attorney of the City and <br />performing the se~wices of said City Attorney under the terms and conditions set forth herein. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br />1. Commencing August 6, 2001, Employee shall be employed as the City Attorney of the <br /> City and shall perform those duties of the City Attorney as specified in the City's Charter <br /> and those lawful duties assigned to the Employee by the City Council. <br /> <br />2. Employee shall be paid $150,000 per year, payable in installments at the same time other <br /> City management employees are paid. By no later than August 1 of each year, the City <br /> Council shall evaluate Employee's performance and may adjust Employee's annual salary <br /> based upon that performance evaluation. The City Council shall provide Employee with its <br /> written comments, if any, and may discuss its evaluation with him, at the choice of either <br /> the City Council or the Employee. Employee acknowledges and agrees that the City and <br /> the Redwood City Port Department ("Port") have made or will make independent <br /> arrangements for the Port to pay the City for any services Employee or the City Attorney <br /> Department may provide to the Port. <br /> <br />3. Employee shall be entitled to the benefits specified in Exhibit A, as updated fi.om time to <br /> time, subject to the terms and conditions specified in Exhibit A; provided that: <br /> <br /> A. Employee shall accrue 25 work days of vacation leave immediately <br /> upon the commencement date of his employment hereunder. <br /> However, Employee may not take any of said vacation leave for the <br /> eight month period immediately following the beginning of his <br /> employment except (a) for his absences due to his own sickness or <br /> injury, and/or (b) to assist his family move from Riverside to the <br /> Bay Area, in which case he may not take more than 5 days of <br /> vacation leave for such purpose.
