6.3.C. - Page 1 <br />REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />August 27, 2018 <br />SUBJECT <br />Joint Resolution with Port of Redwood City Regarding a Contribution by the City of <br />Redwood City to the Port of Redwood City to Fund Infrastructure Improvements at the <br />Redwood City Municipal Marina and Authorization of Increased Funding for Relocation <br />Services <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Adopt a Joint Resolution of the City Council of the City of Redwood City and the <br />Board of Port Commissioners of the Port of Redwood City for a Contribution by the City <br />of Redwood City to the Port of Redwood City to Fund Infrastructure Improvements at <br />the Redwood City Municipal Marina, and find that the project is exempt from the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 <br />and 15303; and <br />2. By motion, authorize City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to the agreement <br />with Overland, Pacific and Cutler (OPC) in the amount of $25,000 for a total contract <br />amount of $421,156, and authorize the City Manager to execute future amendments to <br />the agreement with OPC, as needed, to facilitate completion of the provision of <br />relocation services to Docktown Marina tenants <br />BACKGROUND <br />This report recommends adoption of a Joint Resolution between the City and the Port of <br />Redwood City ("the Port") to fund infrastructure improvements at the Redwood City <br />Municipal Marina ("the Municipal Marina") that will support liveaboard tenants who have <br />relocated from the Docktown Marina to the Municipal Marina and an amendment to the <br />City's agreement with Overland, Pacific & Cutler (OPC) to complete the provision of <br />relocation services to Docktown tenants. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Joint Resolution <br />Port of Redwood City staff have initiated plans and engineering for repairs and <br />upgrades to the "C" dock and the restroom and laundry facilities of the Municipal Marina <br />
