It was great, until people realized that no one was enforcing the posted times, so within a <br />couple of months, all cars were back parking all day, if not longer. (Businesses like Cooks Upholstery, Monney, <br />who have their own lot, and other businesses on Bay Rd. or the 800 block of Second.) <br />My understanding is that the council also has the option to charge fees for the issuance of permits, temporary <br />permits, and replacement of lost permits, at their discretion. Charging for replacement of lost permits is the only <br />thing I understand in this section. <br />In all reality, this permit program will not be enforced. There are not enough community service officers (or not <br />enough allotted to city) to travel to restricted parking areas to ticket. Therefore, I would respectfully like to <br />remove my support for this neighborhood program. If council can guarantee that our neighborhood will have <br />enforcement for permitted cars, then I would like the program planning to continue. <br />Thank you, <br />Roxanne Dragan <br />
