90 5 some current council members have had extended terms, and the community's interests <br />have not been properly considered in recent development decisions. It is critical that we wait <br />to appoint a new commissioner until after the Nov. election. <br />+9 5. The current city council was NOT duly elected; they voted themselves in another year to <br />comply with CA voting laws (instead of holding the regularly scheduled election last year). <br />+s 5With two open seats up for grabs, the City Council should NOT vote on something of this <br />magnitude until after the elections. <br />+6 5 we need new blood on the council before putting a new commissioner in. Hopefully <br />better choices will be made <br />+4 4. Especially given that we elected the current council for 4 years and they gave themselves <br />an extra 5th year, we should let voters speak before filling this seat. <br />+3 5 new city council should appoint so possibly all will agree on the future of Redwood City. <br />+3 5. Planning Commissioners are as critical as council members. We are so close to the <br />election and with three seats being decided we should wait until the new council is in place. <br />We also have two council members who had terms extended an extra year (not by a vote of <br />constituents) so it would argue even more that the seat be left vacant short term. <br />+2 4 -- I do feel like more planning and zoning oversight is needed and would like to see some <br />fresh eyes on it. <br />+2 4: With the election only a couple months out, considering how current planning <br />commission decisions will affect the look and infrastructure for decades to come. Current <br />voters preferences for Redwood City's look going forward should be reflected in city council's <br />(whose makeup will soon likely be different than today) next planning commission <br />appointment. <br />+2 5 let's give RWC a chance at real change. We URGENTLY need it. The next City Council will <br />take decisions that are more current with the times and needs of the future. <br />+2 5 let the new council appoint. I am still angry that S Masur said before her election that we <br />needed to pause development to really think about what we should do, as our kids cant afford <br />to live where they grew up. She voted for all the development, incl where planning commission <br />
