Task 2: Preparing individual historic Resource evaluations for residential structures <br />Consultant shall complete an Historic Resource Evaluation (HRE) for residential projects involving a <br />complete site demolition or major remodel within the Mt. Carmel neighborhood or any structure built <br />before 1940 in other areas of the City. The HRE will determine eligibility for listing on the California <br />Register of Historic Places and/or eligibility as a local resource consistent with the City's Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance. The following tasks shall be completed in each HRE. <br />Tasks and Fixed -Fee Budget: <br />Tasks Fee <br />1 Project Start -Up / Site Visit. Confer with City Staff and the Project Applicant, as $4,650 <br />appropriate, regarding the scope of the evaluation. Visit site for photography, <br />analysis and evaluation purposes. Site visit preparation, travel and coordination time <br />are included in this task. <br />2 Develop Draft Historic Resource Evaluation. Develop a draft historic resource <br />evaluation, and, if necessary, detailing potential historic preservation alternatives <br />and mitigation measures that will lessen impacts under CEQA. Consultant will gather <br />existing historic information, and all necessary research, to inform evaluation and <br />determine existing integrity per State/Federal definitions. Resources would include, <br />but not be limited to, building permit history, Sanborn maps, Polk's directories, City <br />historical surveys, the Redwood City Library History Room, and San Mateo County <br />Historical Association records. <br />3 Consultation and Final Draft. Participate in a discussion regarding draft evaluation, <br />as needed. Based on comments from City staff, Consultant will complete a final <br />document. <br />4 Final Report. Consultant will prepare the Final Historic Resource Evaluation. The <br />HRE will include Alternatives and Mitigation Measures, if appropriate. <br />Total Fixed Fee* $4,650 <br />Attend Historic Resources Advisory Committee meeting $350 <br />�5 <br />*Note: If a residential property is developed with more than a single family home and has multiple <br />buildings, the cost may increase slightly depending on the amount of additional work to be done. This <br />can be handled on a case-by-case basis and additional hours may be billed at hourly rate. <br />Deliverable: Draft and Final Historic Resource Evaluations. <br />Timeframe: Consultant shall prepare the completed Draft HRE within 10 days of a Notice to Proceed <br />and authorization to access the property.
