<br />78 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Some of the intricate components as designed require custom fabrication and have a <br />six-month delivery time. Therefore, this fabrication must be commenced as soon as <br />possible to insure a late September completion date. Included in phase II is a budget <br />of $200,000.00 to construct a pre-fabricated restroom facility, This restroom facility is <br />intended to serve as the primary public downtown restroom and specifically Courthouse <br />Square and its food vendors. The restrooms would be located adjacent to the "North <br />Annex" on Hamilton Street. <br /> <br />The "Final Agreed Price" (at the time of this staff report) is based on trade contractors' <br />bids, and will not exceed the breakdown shown below. The sum of all the lowest <br />responsible trade contractor bids are the basis for determining the Final Agreed Price <br />for Amendment No.1. <br /> <br />Alternatives <br />Do not approve Amendment No.1 to the Agreement with DPR, and begin a new <br />process to select a different CM/GC; therefore, delaying the completion of the <br />Courthouse Square. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The Final Agreed Price to complete Phase II, Courthouse Square is $5,210,291.00. A <br />budget of $200,000.00 is proposed for the Downtown Restroom Facility. An additional $445,000 will come from the unused <br />balances of Block 1 Land Acquisition ($270,000) and Child Care Acquisition ($175,000) <br />in the Redevelopment Capital budget. The Child Care Acquisition fund would be <br />eliminated, but can be replenished in the future if Redevelopment funds become <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />. <br />
