VIII CONNECTIVITY
Existing Circulation
Conditions & Policy
The circulation conditions and policies
in the Downtown core favor some park
locations over others. Sites 01, 02, 03,
and 04 are located adjacent to major
circulation corridors, which will help
maintain activity at those sites. Site 05 is
somewhat removed from the active uses
of Downtown Core, but still close enough
to potentially become (or create) a node
within the general Downtown area.
It should be noted that the City defines a
"Downtown Core Street" as a corridor that
ensures that the most significant retail
and civic areas are treated in a way that
places the utmost priority on pedestrian
comfort, convenience, and safety, as well
as community building.
It should also be noted that the "Potential u
Streetcar Route" included on this map
indicates the implementation of a modern s
streetcar system that is discussed in the .
Downtown Precise Plan.
LEGEND
Potential Park Site
0001 Bike Network -
w a
s Downtown Core Street ' T
Potential Streetcar Route
Railroad
[ ] Potential Park Slte Number►
`►
Sphere of In4luence {300' Radius} LLLJJJ
® Bus Stop
Caltra+n Station Source: RWC Moves
66 DOWNTOWN PARKS SITE ASSESSMENT 6 FEASIBILITY STUDY REPORT
