6.1.F. - Page 3
the project involves the permanent abandonment of shoring pile anchors below grade in
the right of way, subject to specified terms and conditions.
ALTERNATIVES
Council may choose not to approve the agreements for the project.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City as a result of this action.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
In 2003, City Council certified an EIR that reviewed the potential environmental impacts
with the buildout of the Downtown Medical Campus Precise Plan. This project has been
reviewed for conformance with the environmental impacts identified and analyzed in the
EIR for new significant environmental effects or a substantial increase in the severity of
previously identified significant effects due to substantial changes to the project or
circumstances, and for new information of substantial importance requiring new
mitigation measures, all in accordance with CEQA Guidelines Sections 15162 and
15164.
An Addendum to the EIR was prepared that considered traffic impacts as well other
impacts as required under CEQA. The Planning Commission found that no new
significant environmental effects, no substantial increase in the severity of previously
identified significant effects, and no new information of substantial importance were
identified beyond that described in the EIR, and relied upon the Addendum in approving
the project.
PATTI SCHROTENBOER
ASSOCIATE ENGINEER
roWMN--
AARON AKNIN
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
   - R 0!
