Preliminary Design <br />i. The work shall include all necessary tasks to complete the preliminary investigation of the <br />Lakeview pump station related to electrical service. The work shall include, field <br />reconnaissance of the existing electrical service, evaluating/coordinating the electrical <br />and telephone services with PG&E and SBC respectively, coordinating the location of the <br />SCADA and Electrical components in the proposed building, preparation of preliminary <br />design drawings and meeting with the City to discuss the operational strategy for the <br />pump station. (Please include 2 days of meetings for this task) <br />ii. Submittal under this task shall include: Preliminary design drawing including site plan, <br />demolition plan and details of the electrical/telephone utilities and SCADA facility. Submit <br />a preliminary cost estimate for the electrical portion of the work. <br />iii. The City will provide preliminary Civil Site Plans and proposed building drawings in <br />AutoCAD, if available, for your use. <br /> <br />b. Final Design/Construction Support <br />i. The work shall include all necessary tasks to complete the final design of the project. <br />The work shall include incorporating the City's review comments for the preliminary <br />design and proceeding with the final design drawings for the project, preparation of all <br />technical specifications related to electrical and SCADA work, providing instrumentation <br />design drawing, conducting programming changes to the SCADA system, writing a PLC <br />program, reviewing shop drawing submittals and RFI's for the electrical components, and <br />assisting with the inspection during construction and startup. <br />ii. Submittal under this task shall include: All final design drawings including plans and <br />details related to the electrical/telephone utilities and SCADA facility. Submit Technical <br />Specifications and Final Design Cost Estimate. <br />iii. The City will review the final design drawings and will conduct a review meeting to <br />discuss the comments. Please include (1) day of meeting for this task. <br />iv. Incorporate City's review comments and submit Final "stamped" drawings for inclusion <br />into the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Item 1 <br />Electrical Engineering and design for Lakeview Pump Station to include site investigations, coordination with PG&E and <br />SBC, two or three electrical drawings, narrative of demolition plan, and section 16000 Electrical for inclusion to City's <br />bid/construction documents. Includes coordination with Civil disciplines and changes to Civil drawings for utility pads <br />and/or access. Final drawings will be stamped.
