5. In fact the strongest statement Redwood City PD can say that is within our means is to
convert all municipal lighting to LED which can be done very quickly with existing technology.
5 Cities like ours will be mostly underwater within the next hundred years or so if we don't do
something to not only slow down climate change, but also start to reverse it. The time to start
acting was 40 years ago. Every year we wait is more of our city literally underwater.
4 Yes. It's time to admit it. Probably ought to get out in front of these catagories and participate
here locally in our own best interest. I'm not threatened by it.
S. Cities can use the states expertise and knowledge and follow established guidelines. Should
be easy.
5 and they should have a flood/sea rise plan
4,1 believe our city should be looking at what will happen when waters rise and build and plan
accordingly. And yes, we should be doing all we can to reduce carbon emissions on every level.
Planting trees? I don't know if Science supports it, but tree -lined streets are much more
inviting to live on, raise property values, and help by absorbing carbon and casting shade. If the
science supports it, developers should be required to plant and care for appropriate trees in
large parking lots.
41 strongly support climate policy improvements and urge city officials to work closely with
state and federal experts, not necessarily take on the work themselves. But please prioritize this
issue!
4 but I feel like I'm making an uniformed choice, I want us to do more to combat global
warming but if it does take bigger powers than just city, to make mountains move then maybe
we should work with federal level
5 strongly support-- this is something we often feel helpless to change. If our city can work
together to improve air quality, reducing emissions and conserving resources locally, many of
us will feel part of a solution.
4;. 1 oppose the idea of Redwood City taking on correcting Climate Control alone.
