5 Current Federal admin is not interested in this problem. California State is, but this is a local
issue whether we like it or not. Sea level projections indicate there won't be a Redwood City by
2075 at current rate. It will be underwater.
4 putting together a comprehensive climate plan at the local level is important, but keeping it
limited to the areas local government has expertise and control over is critical. Similarly the
burden the policies place on local residents and businesses need to be considered both in the
scope and pace of the plans.
5. Most effective change is local. Yes!
5: oh, please-- enough of "let someone else do it". We need to act on EVERY level. Local gov't
can reach the local people, including those too poor, working two jobs, or seniors who don't
have time or energy to engage. Local gov't is closest to us and knows how to reach us. YES, for
the sake of our planet:heavy_heart_exclamation:
5 We should all do our part, and although one mid -Peninsula city of only 78,000 can't solve the
problem alone, it's important for helping to raise awareness and consciousness among all our
citizens, especially the young who will beart the brunt of this.
5 the problem isn't going away. Action is needed at every level to stop it
5 - local government sets the stage for higher levels of government. We show what we are
willing to do and can lead the way for other cities, the state, etc. Not only that, everyone has to
own this issue!
5., do something right for a change, Charlie Brown
5.1 think this would help set some parameters for the city for any new development.
5 It's almost too late. Every step we take matters.
5 - all cities collecting tax revenue have a responsibility to help solve this crisis. There are
definitely things that can and should be done at our local level.
5 The City should do what it can, including adopting any recommendations put out by the
State.
