City Services: The City agrees to provide the following: <br /> <br />(a) Routine police patrols during the event. <br /> <br />(b) Officers dedicated to traffic control during the event. <br /> <br /> <br />12. Items Provided by Permittee: <br /> <br />(a) Sufficient volunteers present at the locations indicated on the course <br />overview maps to safely monitor the routes and event closure areas. <br /> <br />(b) The Permittee will notify all businesses and residents along the routes <br />and within the affected event areas with sufficient time to allow for <br />those businesses and residents to accommodate the parking and <br />traffic restrictions associated with this event. <br /> <br />(c) Medical response / First Aid personnel immediately available to <br />address medical issues associated with this event. <br /> <br />(d) The Permittee will pay for the services of police department employees <br />dedicated to traffic control for this event. The department employees <br />may be a combination of sworn, non-sworn, and volunteer personnel. <br />The required number of department employees required to conduct <br />traffic control to ensure a safe environment for event participants will <br />be at the sole discretion of the Chief of Police or his designee. <br /> <br />The hourly rate for the sworn personnel is approximately $110.00 - <br />$200.00 per hour. The hourly rate for non-sworn personnel is <br />approximately $69.00 - $95.00 per hour. It is anticipated the services <br />of department personnel will be needed for approximately four (4) <br />hours for this event. Should public safety demands exceed the <br />capabilities of assigned police personnel, additional police resources <br />will be dedicated to this event. The cost of additional police personnel <br />shall also be paid by the Permittee. The need for additional police <br />resources shall be determined by a police department supervisor or <br />his/her designee and promptly communicated to the on-site <br />representative of Permittee. <br />6.3.A. - Page 14
