MATTERS OF COUNCil INTEREST - <br /> <br />A. legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion <br />of City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California <br />Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No.8 -2006. Council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's Department.) <br /> <br />B. Council Member Aguirre - reminded the community that there is an open <br />forum for the presidential candidates at Canada College from 1 :45-3:00 p.m. on <br />March 14, Building 3 - Room 142. <br /> <br />C. Mayor Pierce - announced that the Community Tree Policy Task Force was <br />kicked off on March 8 that was well attended and facilitated by Facilitator Cecil <br />Reeves. She thanked Council Member Bain for his assistance with studying the <br />99 applications and designating the folks to serve. She also mentioned the joint <br />meeting of Peninsula Policy Partnership (P3) and Samceda that kicked a joint <br />Santa Clara/San Mateo County effort to study both the Grand Boulevard and EI <br />Camino. <br /> <br />9.
