B. - Page 1 <br />REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />October 22, 2018 <br />SUBJECT <br />Summary Street Vacation, Summary Easement Vacations and Exchange of Real <br />Property with the County of San Mateo: Winslow Street Realignment and County Center <br />Easement Exchange <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />As it relates to the Winslow Street Realignment <br />1) Adopt a Resolution: <br />a) Rescinding Resolution 15034 <br />b) Summarily vacating a portion of a public street <br />c) Authorizing the City Manager to accept quitclaim deeds from the County of <br />San Mateo <br />d) Authorizing the City Manager to execute a quitclaim deed in favor of the <br />County of San Mateo <br />e) Directing the City Clerk to file the resolution and deeds for recordation <br />As it relates to the County Center easement exchange <br />2) Adopt a Resolution: <br />a) Summarily vacating four public service easements <br />b) Authorizing the City Manager to accept a Storm Drain and Water Line <br />Easement deed from the County of San Mateo <br />c) Directing the City Clerk to file the resolution and deed for recordation <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Redwood City and the County of San Mateo cooperated in the realignment <br />of Winslow Street in 1995 in order to realign the road to improve traffic safety. The <br />realignment eliminated a sharp right angle dating back to the historic street pattern in <br />the area, and provided additional area for the County Center. On February 8, 2005, the <br />City and County entered into an Agreement for Exchange of Real Property (Attachment <br />1). <br />
