Also, we need a comprehensive Bay Area wide SUBWAY like London and Paris to minimize the need for cars! J 2. This isn't necessary in most neighborhoods. The only place this would really be necessary is downtown, and maybe the neighborhood between Jefferson, EI Camino, hudson, and Woodside. I feel it would be better to have regular patrol officers be on the lookout for illegal parking, than have dedicated parking enforcement team +s 2 - I would support if revenues from enforcement were used to fund needed services or programs. But doling out more parking tickets simply to fund more parking enforcement seems counterproductive and likely to harm those who can least afford it. +s 11 am environmentally friendly and commute by transit and don't have a parking spot so I leave my car pretty much in the same spot near my house all week. I don't see why I should be ticketed for parking within a block of my house when I'm not fortunate enough to afford an apartment with parking. +3 1 we need to find solutions not ways to penalize people. +3 1 This will unfairly impact people who live in the older more densely populated neighborhoods as well as lower income residents. Menlo Park has crazy parking enforcement and it sucks for people that are lower income. People with huge circular driveways are fine with it though.;) +2 1. Redwood city should make more parking available instead of forcing overparked neighborhoods to walk further. +2 2 the odds of this being revenue -neutral seem slim to me, and in terms of issues facing the city this is low on my personal list
