In addition, the City will be seeking additional
funds from the California Reading and Literacy Improvement and Public Library
Construction and Renovation Bond Act of 2000.

Funds in the amount of $180,118 for developing the needs assessment, conceptual
design and other architectural and engineering services are appropriated in the FY
2002-2003 Capital Improvement Program budget under the General Improvement
District Facilities Fee Construction Fund for Marina Park/Library.

If the State accepts the City's Grant Application, then approximately two-thirds of the
cost of the Needs Assessment and other efforts in developing a conceptual plan will be
eligible for reimbursement.

Brian Lee E~ruce Liedstrand Ed Everett
Senior Civil Engineer Community Development Services Director City Manager

BL:ss
