If the State accepts the City's Grant Application, we will be back to City Council with a <br />Task Order to complete the working drawing design and construction administration <br />efforts. <br /> <br />Alternative <br />Council can elect to not enter into the Agreement with ABA, and thus, not provide the <br />opportunity to compete for grant funds that would provide approximately two-thirds of <br />the construction cost of a branch library in Redwood Shores. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />Funds in the amount of $2,500,000 are appropriated in the FY 2002-2003 Capital <br />improvement Program (CIP) budget. In addition, the City will be seeking additional <br />funds from the California Reading and Literacy Improvement and Public Library <br />Construction and Renovation Bond Act of 2000. <br /> <br />Funds in the amount of $180,118 for developing the needs assessment, conceptual <br />design and other architectural and engineering services are appropriated in the FY <br />2002-2003 Capital Improvement Program budget under the General Improvement <br />District Facilities Fee Construction Fund for Marina Park/Library. <br /> <br />If the State accepts the City's Grant Application, then approximately two-thirds of the <br />cost of the Needs Assessment and other efforts in developing a conceptual plan will be <br />eligible for reimbursement. <br /> <br />Brian Lee E~ruce Liedstrand Ed Everett <br />Senior Civil Engineer Community Development Services Director City Manager <br /> <br />BL:ss <br /> <br /> <br />
