enforcing laws dealing with animal control within.its jurisdiction. <br /> <br /> CITIES: All of the cities listed in Exhibit A hereto. <br />COUNTY CONTRACTOH: shall mean the Peninsula Humane Society (PHS), a <br />California nonprofit corporation, or such other agency as the <br />County Board of Supervisors may designate. <br /> <br />HOLIDAYS: shall mean Federally designated holidays. <br /> <br />B. CITY'S HESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br /> 1. Adoption of Animal Control Or~-es & Fee Schedul . <br /> CITY shall, within 120 days after requested to do so by <br /> the COUNTY, adopt and maintain the same animal control <br /> ordinance and fee schedule as the COUNTY. The animal <br /> control ordinance shall be substantially the same as the <br /> provisions of Chapters 6.04, 6.12, and 6.16 of Title 6 of <br /> the San Mateo COUlgTY Ordinance Code, as amended, to be <br /> effective within the CITY limits. The fee schedule shall <br /> be substantially the same as outlined in Chapter 6.04.290 <br /> of the above mentioned Ordinance. <br /> <br /> 2. ~elivery of Animals. CITY shall'deliver to the shelter <br /> at 12 Airport Boulevard, San Mateo, or hold in a humane <br /> way at a designated holding area until it can be picked <br /> up by COUNTY CONTRACTOR staff any animal taken into <br /> custody by an employee of the CITY. <br /> <br /> 3. Designation of Animal Control Officem. CITY shall <br /> designate as the Animal Control Officer of CITY the same~ <br /> person that COUNTY designates as the Animal Control <br /> Officer of COUNTY, and shall cooperate fully with the <br /> COLINTY Animal Control Officer to facilitate the <br /> performance of said functions. <br /> <br /> 4. Designation of License Collector. CITY shall designate <br /> the COUNTY,s Division of Revenue Services as the CITY <br /> official responsible for !-sense fee collection. <br /> <br /> 5. ~a~ments. <br /> {a) CITY shall pay to the COUNTY prior to Janua_'-y 1st <br /> of each fiscal year, and following the receipt of <br /> an invoice from COUNTY che CITY's percentage share <br /> of the net program uDst of the Animal Control <br /> Program.
