EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />FAMILY SERVICE AGENCY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY - SENIOR <br />CONNECTIONS <br /> FISCAL YEAR 2002/03 <br /> <br /> CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br /> The goal for the Senior Connections program is to help seniors <br /> achieve minimum computer competency. We anticipate 80 <br /> persons (approximately 55% will be Redwood City residents) to be <br /> ser~'ed in the course of the year. Of those, we anticipate that: <br /> <br /> 80% or more will complete the computer course as indicated by <br /> enrollment records <br /> 90% of those who complete the course will demonstrate the <br /> competency needed to access EDD's CaldOBS database as <br /> indicated by instructor observation <br /> 30% or more will enroll in advance courses as indicated by <br /> · enrollment records <br /> 80% or more will learn skills that allow them to engage in activities <br /> that promote mental health and wellness, such as emailing and <br /> internet-based communication with friends and relatives in forei§n <br /> countries, researching medical and health issues or finding <br /> support amongst older persons in internet discussion groups <br /> <br /> <br />
