6.B. - Page 162 of 366 <br />Effective the first full pay period in September 2019 em to ees <br />represented by the Association shall receive a three percent (3%) cost of <br />living adjustment. <br />7.1..2 Effective the first fall pav period in September 2020, emolovees <br />represented by the Association shall receive an annual market adjustment <br />salary increase as determined by the mean or the median, whichever is <br />eater, reflected in a total compensation salary survey study conducted b <br />the e City. <br />For 2020 only, the market adjustment salary increase shall be a minimum <br />of two and one-half percent (2.5%) and a maximum of three and one-half <br />(3.5%) percent. The total compensation survey shall be prepared as <br />follows: <br />A. The City will conduct an annual total compensation salary <br />survey no later than September 1st of each year comparing the <br />total compensation rates of Police Officers in Redwood City to <br />the mean and median of Police Officers in the following listed <br />cities: Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Mateo, South San <br />Francisco, Union City, Milpitas and Santa Clara. <br />B. The total compensation survey shall include top step base salary <br />50' step for RCPO& employee PERS pqMents(including the <br />employee payments toward employer CalPERS costs outlined in <br />Section 14.3 EPMC deferred compensation, car allowance <br />administrative Ieave, educational reimbursement, professional <br />development, uniform allowance educational incentives and <br />health and welfare contributions. <br />C. The total compensation salary survey will reflect City Council - <br />approved salary increases for comparative cities that occur by or <br />before September 1St in the year in which the survey is <br />conducted. In the event one or more of the above listed <br />comparative cities is in labor negotiations due to the expiration <br />of their labor MOU and does not have salary data available as of <br />September 1, the comparative city shall be temporarily removed <br />from the survey until such time as salary data is available. <br />D.
