Such appeals must <br />be filed in writing within ten (10) calendar days from receipt of the final notice of <br />discipline; and unless so filed, the right of appeal is lost. Appeals of discipline <br />imposed by the Police Chief shall begin at Level III of the grievance procedure. <br />SECTION 19. OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT <br />191 A unit member shall not engage in any employment, activity or enterprise for <br />compensation which is inconsistent, incompatible, in conflict with, or inimical to <br />his/her duties as an employee of the City, or with the duties, functions, or <br />responsibilities of the City. <br />19.2 A unit member shall secure written approval from the Chief of Police prior to <br />engaging in any outside employment, activity, or enterprise for compensation. <br />The Chief of Police may deny any outside employment, activity or entemrise for <br />compensation which could be judged to be inconsistent with, incompatible to, or <br />in conflict with the unit member's duties as an employee of the City.
