Briefly desribe the present physical appearance of the property, including condition, boundaries, related
features, surroundings, and (if appropriate), architectural style.
As seen from across Standish Street, #221 is a rectangular gable front dwelling with a projecting porch by a lower front -facing
gable roof. The house's walls are covered in wooden drop siding, and appear in need of a paint job. It is one -and -a -half stories
in height, and possesses a tall silhouette. The first floor living quarters are raised about five feet off the ground. A large cellar
is below. The cellar is lit by windows and is accessible through doors on the house's northeast and southwest sides. To enter
the first floor living areas, one climbs an L-shaped stairs to the projecting front porch. The porch is supported by
unornamented posts. The front door has been placed centrally, and the transom window. The builder placed two windows
with double hung sash on either side of the main entry. On the second floor, the main pediment is a horizontal two -light
window of the casement type. In the pediment of the porch remains a two -light fixed window.
Otte rrtutu
DPR 523 (Rev. 6/90)
SEE CONTINUATION SHEET
8. Planning Agency
Planning Division
9.
