6.13. - Page 64 of 366 <br />shall be subject to dismissal only pursuant to the provisions of Sections 8.5 <br />(Rejection of Probationer), 11.1 (Discipline), 11.2 (Pre -Disciplines Procedures), <br />and 11.3 (Procedure For Disciplinary Appealsg�nn7rJv ) <br />ARTICLE 12 <br />RESIGNATION AND REINSTATEMENT <br />12.1 Resignation <br />An employee wishing to leave -resign from Cittfie service in good standing shall, WT <br />passible file with the Fire Chief at least two (2) week, weeks' notice of an intention to <br />leave the City's service unless the Fire Chief consents to the employee leaving sooner, The <br />written resignation shall state the effective date and reasons for leaving. The resignation <br />shall be forwarded to the Personnel Officer, <br />12.2 Reinstatement <br />12.2.1 A regular employee who has resigned from the City in good standing may be <br />reinstated to a vacant position of the same class as his or her previous position <br />within a period of one (1) year from the effective date of his or her resignation. <br />Reinstatement shall be made at the salary step recommended by the Fire Chief <br />and approved by the Personnel Officer, not to exceed the salary held at the time <br />the employee left City employment. <br />For the purposes of this section, "in good standina" shall be defined as an overall <br />performance rating of "satisfactory" or higher in the most recent evaluation <br />preceding the employee's se aration no history of discipline at the level of <br />suspension or higher, no pending notice of discipline, and no pending <br />investigation for which the employee is the subject and misconduct is accused. <br />12.2.2 The reinstated employee will serve the designated probationary period for that <br />classification prior to becoming a regular employee regardless of the salary step <br />at which the employee was reinstated. <br />12.2.3 Reinstated employees who have completed the designated probationary period <br />shall have all years of service with the City of Redwood City credited toward <br />accrual rates and benefit vesting privileges subject to the restrictions of the <br />Public Employees' Pension Reform Act. <br />13.1 Retirement Plan <br />ARTICLE 13 <br />RETIREMENT <br />15 <br />83 <br />
