There will be no <br />adjustments based on labor market studies for the term of this agreement. <br />Labor market salary figures shall be established by comparing the following <br />factors; Base top step salary and/or control point used in other agencies and <br />employee PERS contribution paid by the employer. The City's comparable labor <br />market shall include the following agencies <br />City of Alameda <br />City of Berkeley <br />City of Hayward <br />City of Mountain View <br />City of Palo Alto <br />City of San Leandro <br />City of San Mateo <br />City of South San Francisco <br />City of Sunnyvale <br />Effective October 31, 2019, the City will conduct a survey or the Fire Marshal <br />classification. If the classification is more than five percent 5% below market <br />mean or median City will bring salary to the market mean/median not to exceed <br />a five percent (5%) increase. <br />14.2.3 The following classifications shall be internally aligned and shall maintain their <br />minimum top step differentials to subordinate and/or benchmark classifications <br />as indicated throughout the term of the agreement. <br />• Battalion Chief — The top base monthly salary step for Battalion Chief <br />shall be set at twenty percent (20%J above the top base month) <br />salary step for Fire Captain, <br />20 <br />DIR <br />
