6.B. - Page 80 of 366 <br />14.23 Deferred Compensation <br />The City shall contribute an amount equal to two percent (2%) of base monthly salary to a <br />deferred compensation plan offered by the City, <br />Employees on no -pay status will have this amount prorated based on total number of hours <br />of4e-pay amid status during the pay period. <br />ARTICLE 15 <br />HOURS OF WORK <br />The regular workweek for Battalion Chiefs assigned to forty (40) hour workweeks, Deputy Fire Chiefs <br />and Fire Marshals shall be forty (40) hours per week, The regular workweek for Battalion Chief on a <br />shift schedule shall be fifty-six (56) hours per week. The parties acknowledge that FLSA exempt <br />employees in the bargaining unit may be required to perform hours of work outside of their regular <br />work schedule. <br />Changes to the 214 48196 work schedule will be sub'ect to meet and confer. <br />ARTICLE 16 <br />LEAVE PROVISIONS <br />16.1 Sick Leave <br />16.1.1 Sick leave with pay shall be granted to all regular full-time employees at the rate <br />of one (1) working day for each full calendar month of service from the <br />commencement of their employment with the City. Battalion Chiefs assigned to a <br />forty (40) hour schedule after working a fifty-six (56) hour schedule may retain the <br />fifty-six (56) hour sick leave bank and accrual rate, provided that sick leave taken <br />on the forty (40) hour work schedule will be charged to the employee's sick leave <br />bank at a rate of one and four -tenths (1.4) hours for every one hour of sick leave <br />taken. Battalion Chiefs assigned to a fifty-six (56) hour schedule and promoted <br />to Deputy Chief on a forty (40) hour schedule shall convert accrued sick leave to <br />the forty (40) hour rate (i,e., divide the 56 hour accrued sick leave by a <br />denominator of 1.4). <br />16.1.2 Sick leave shall be defined as the non -job related absence from work due to <br />illness, bodily injury, exposure to contagious disease, and caring of family <br />members whose illness requires the employee's care.
