6.D. - Page 3 of 5 FISCAL IMPACT Funds for the Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Improvements Project - P.S. No. 18 and P.S. No. 20 were previously approved and appropriated in the Fiscal Year 2016-17 budget and have been carried forward to Fiscal Year 2018-19. As of September 30, 2018, the available balance is $2,157,465. Therefore, no additional budget appropriation is required. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW As the lead agency, City of Redwood City determined that the Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Improvements Project - P.S. No. 18 and P.S. No. 20 meets the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption criteria as set forth in CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 ("Existing Facilities") and 15302 ("Replacement or Reconstruction"). Furthermore, this project was designed compliant with the City's Engineering Standards and accepted practices. This project does not require a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for stormwater discharges associated with construction and land disturbance activities pursuant to Attachment A.2 of Order No. R2-2015-0049, NPDES Permit No. CAS612008, which exempts projects to update existing lines and facilities. However, the proposed construction will employ stormwater pollution prevention best methods and practices. PUBLIC NOTICE Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed at least, 72 hours prior to the meeting. ALTERNATIVES Council may choose not to award the contract and request staff to redesign and/or offer this project again for public bid.
