6.E. - Page 2 of 4 <br />ANALYSIS <br />The project was awarded for a base bid of $5,673,488. The project was successfully completed in <br />accordance with the plans and specifications. One change order was issued totaling $40,206. The final <br />contract amount is $5,713,694 which is 0.71% more than the original bid amount. A change order was <br />required due to unforeseen field conditions that resulted in additional work requested by the City that <br />was not within the original scope of work, but was necessary to complete the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Sufficient funding for this contract was previously approved and appropriated as Sewer Fund Capital <br />Projects — Collection System Replacement Program and Water Fund Capital Projects — Distribution <br />System Replacement Program. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The project was previously determined to be Categorically Exempt under CEQA Guidelines Section <br />15302, Class 2 (Replacement or reconstruction) at the time of contract award.
