No. 13 and P.S. No. 16 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Accept, by motion, the Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Improvements Project - P.S. No. 13 and P.S. No. 16, <br />authorize the release of bonds and retention according to City procedures. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Public Safety <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 22, 2017, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the Sanitary Sewer Pump <br />Station (P.S.) Improvements Project - P.S. No. 13 and P.S. No. 16 to Casey Construction, Inc. of Emerald <br />Hills, CA for a price of $1,404,140. The project scope included rehabilitation of the two existing sanitary <br />sewer pump stations in Redwood Shores. P.S. No. 13 is located near the corner of Redwood Shores <br />Parkway and Shoreline Drive and P.S. No. 16 is located near the corner of Shannon Lane and David Lane. <br />Specific project components for each pump station, included: <br />• Removal and replacement of existing mechanical and electrical structures <br />• Rehabilitation and repair of an existing wet well <br />• Furnishing, installation of a temporary by-pass system <br />• Replacement of submersible pumps and motor control center <br />• Installation of a complete standby generator <br />• Connection of pump station to existing force mains <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcitV.org <br />86 <br />
