Box 391 <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 ,p,r/ <br />Dear Mayor p~ouncilwomall~: <br /> ~/' / <br />Your March 10 letter to Jim Hartnett and John Lee, the chairs, respectively, of the SamTrans and <br />the Transportation Authority boards of directors expressing interest in support by those agencies <br />for a potential shuttle service in the City of Redwood City, has been referred to my office. <br />Weare eager to explore ways that SamTrans and the T A can provide support for a community- <br />based shuttle service in Redwood City, including expertise in planning such a service and <br />potential funding sources from the TA through new Measure A revenues and from other agencies <br />where grant monies might be available. <br />We'believe such commuhity~hased-service will-be animporta:nhl-emerttJ'bfftime,.trfmsit.ens--.. , <br /> ,I " <br />for the residents of San Mateo COln1ty.
