<br /> 6.1E <br /> Page 5 <br /> GRANT AGREEMENT <br /> [MONT AL VOl <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this _ day of , <br /> 2006. by and between REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, a public body <br /> corporate and politic ("Grantor") and MONTALVO, a California non-profit corporation <br /> ("Grantee") with reference to the following facts: <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, Grantor is a public entity organized in accordance with the <br /> Community Redevelopment Law ("CRL") as contained in California Health and Safety <br /> Code sections 33000 et. seq. Pursuant thereto, Grantor is authorized to undertake and <br /> support projects within designated areas of the City of Redwood City which foster the <br /> elimination of blighted conditions and encourages the economic well being of such <br /> areas. Grantor has coordinated various improvements within the Downtown area of <br /> Redwood City in order to enhance its retail/business viability; and <br /> WHEREAS, Grantee has organized and promoted high-quality entertainment <br /> programs in the City of Redwood City ("City"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Grantee has sought, and upon the terms and conditions described <br /> herein, Grantor is willing to provide for certain costs associated with the production of <br /> live entertainment in the City during calendar years 2006 and 2007. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, Grantor and Grantee agree as follows: <br /> 1. TERM. This Agreement shall commence and be effective as of the date <br /> first written above and continue to June 30,2007. <br /> 2. SERVICES.
