6.E. - Page 24 of 26 <br />Page 15 <br />8 <br />Task 4: Construction/Implementation - Budget Category (d) <br />Task 4 a) Public Education and Outreach <br />This task includes public workshops, multi- lingual educational materials, a project website, an <br />outreach campaign via social media, and targeted outreach to five mobile home parks in the <br />historically flood -prone areas of the Project. This outreach will reach approximately 2,400 residents in <br />800 dwellings within five mobile home parks and other economically disadvantaged neighborhoods <br />adjacent to the Bayfront Canal and Atherton Channel. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Public workshop, outreach, and educational materials <br />• Links to Project website and social media campaign <br />Task 4 b) Construction Contracting <br />This task consists of construction contracting including solicitations for bids and awards of contracts. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Copy of bid package <br />Task 4 c) Mobilization and Site Preparation <br />This task consists of mobilization and site preparation including implementation of site security <br />measures, installation of temporary sanitary facilities, implementation of site BMPs, clearing and <br />grubbing, stockpile and material storage designation, and traffic control. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Pre -construction photographs <br />Task 4 d) Project Construction <br />This task includes local flooding alleviation by routing flood flows from the Bayfront Canal and <br />Atherton Channel into managed ponds that are part of the Ravenswood Pond Complex portion of the <br />South Bay Salt Ponds Restoration Project. This task consists of modification of the existing Cargill <br />ditch for improved flow conveyance, modifications to the Pond S5 forebay including <br />excavation/deepening of this smaller portion of Pond S5 immediately adjacent to Flood Slough, and <br />routing of flood flows from the Bayfront Canal into Ponds R5 and S5 of the Ravenswood Pond <br />Complex, thereby bypassing the Flood Slough tide gate. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Construction photographs <br />• Certified engineer inspection completion report with final as -built drawings <br />Task 4 e) Performance Testing and Demobilization <br />This task consist of project performance testing and demobilization, including removal of all debris <br />and construction spoils from the site, removal of excess materials, removal of temporary sanitary <br />facilities, removal of equipment, transfer of site responsibility back to owner, and stormwater testing <br />for contaminants and turbidity levels. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Post -construction photographs <br />Task 4 f) Environmental Compliance/ Mitigation/ Enhancement <br />This task consists of complying with general construction measures, and creating an erosion and <br />sediment control plan, stormwater pollution prevention plan, traffic control plan, a hazardous <br />materials management plan, and any environmental restoration specifications. <br />Deliverables: <br />DWR Prop 84 - Local Project Sponsor Agreement - IRWM 2 -Amendment 1 -Redwood City - [LPS Contract #C003899] <br />172 <br />
