6.B. - Page 1 of 41 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />Ago/ <br />DATE: December 17, 2018 <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />SUBJECT Professional Services Agreement with AECOM for environmental consulting services for the <br />South Main Mixed -Use Project at 1601 EI Camino Real <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement for environmental <br />consulting services with AECOM in the amount of $482,548 for the preparation of an Environmental <br />Impact Report in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act for the South Main Mixed - <br />Use Project at 1601 EI Camino Real <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Greystar submitted an application for the development of a mixed-use project encompassing six blocks, <br />referred to as the South Main Mixed -Use project and 1601 EI Camino Real. The project area is generally <br />bounded by Maple, Elm, Main, Chestnut, Cedar, and EI Camino Real, for a total area of 8.3 acres. The <br />proposal does not include four parcels at the corner of Main and Elm streets, which are currently <br />developed with one-story offices (denoted with a red X on Figure 1).
