6.B. - Page 3 of 41 <br />Staff recommends AECOM for this project because of their previous work on large-scale mixed-use <br />projects in the Bay Area. The proposal, including sub -consultant work, totals $482,548. <br />Approval of the consultant contract is the first step in beginning the required environmental review for <br />the proposed project, and is not an approval of the project itself. Future steps include: <br />EIR Scoping Session <br />Community outreach meetings <br />Architectural Advisory Committee review <br />Historic Resources Advisory Committee review <br />Complete Streets Advisory Committee review <br />Planning Commission and public comments on the draft EIR <br />Planning Commission review and recommendation on the final EIR and requested <br />development permits <br />City Council review and action on the final EIR and requested development permits <br />These steps will take place beginning in 2019 and will provide multiple opportunities for public <br />comments and feedback on the proposal. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />None.
