5 if land is limited allow to build as high as possible <br />5 Strongly feel that we all benefit from affordable housing built on city land. PLUS, the last city <br />council did not require apt. and office developers to pay for the increased use of all city/county <br />roads, parks, schools, police and fire protection, etc. There is a term for corporations dumping <br />their costs on others. It is called "externalizing" by economists. Companies created all the jobs, <br />but dumped the social and infrastructure costs on RC citizens. <br />I have been before Building commission and the City Council to have blended housing on new <br />construction and existing multi units. You have market rate, middle income and low income <br />blended together. I am for using city property in this manner. This would include everyone. <br />People who teach our children, nurses, secretaries, police, firemen, bus boys, cooks, people who <br />clean our toilets, and the list goes on. Recently Denver did this a side. Benefit their crime rate <br />drop 48%. <br />5 this is a no -brained. RWC can partner with a housing nonprofit that can build on donated or <br />subsidized land. <br />4, as long as the rents were plowed back into city services for all residents, it's a win-win. <br />5Once you decide to support affordable housing what other choice do you have? <br />4. New development should pony up to increase availability. <br />4What land? Does the city own a bunch of land that's not being used? I'm in favor of affordable <br />housing but there isn't enough information here <br />51 totally see the argument that public land should benefit all residents. I think affordable <br />housing can be built in such a way that achieves this criterion. In some cases, the city could <br />provide temporary affordable housing options and return a profit that could be used for the <br />public fund. <br />5 Build more housing. BUILD MORE HOUSING. <br />5 - no brainer. Communities are better and stronger when they're more inclusive. Income should <br />not be an automatic barrier for living in a happy healthy community. <br />
