<br />Recommendation from the Planning Commission;
<br />On March 21, 2006, at a public hearing, the Planning Commission unanimously voted to
<br />recommend to the City Council that the proposed Mezesville Historic District be designated in
<br />whole, per recommendation of the Historic Resource Advisory Committee (HRAC).
<br />
<br />The proposed historic district contains a total of 77 separate parcels, 52 of those parcels would
<br />be considered contributing to the district* and be designated historic resources (this includes the
<br />Mezes Park site; among the 25 non-contributing properties would be the Orion School block). A
<br />public notice will be mailed to all affected properties 10 (ten) days prior to the City Council public
<br />hearing for action on this determination from the Planning Commission, per Section 40.7 of the
<br />Historic Preservation Ordinance of the Redwood City Code.
