<br />SUBJECT: Recommendation from the Historic Resources Advisory
<br />Committee (HRAC) to designate the Mezesville/Centennial Historic District
<br />according the Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood
<br />City Municipal Code).
<br />
<br />RECOMMENDATION:
<br />
<br />Recommend to the City Council that the proposed Mezesville/Centennial
<br />Historic District designation be approved as proposed with the following
<br />finding:
<br />
<br />The proposed area is eligible for designation as an historic district by the
<br />City Council pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Historic Preservation Ordinance
<br />because it meets the following criteria:
<br />
<br />A. It exemplifies or reflects special elements of the City's cultural, aesthetic or
<br />architectural history; and
<br />
<br />B. It is identified with events significant in local, and regional history; and
<br />
<br />C. It embodies distinctive characteristics of a style, type, period or method of
<br />construction, and is a valuable example of the use of indigenous materials or
<br />craftsmanship.
