6.D. - Page 16 of 170 <br />Request for Qualifications: <br />General Park Building Construction, Retrofit, Maintenance, and/or Repairs <br />DESCRIPTION OF REQUESTED SERVICES <br />General Park Building Construction, Retrofit, Maintenance and/or Repairs includes but is not limited to: <br />General Contractors to perform construction and renovation of building structures found in public park facilities such as <br />recreation centers, child care facilities, field restrooms, concession buildings, shade structures, bathhouse buildings, <br />bridges, multi-purpose buildings, field houses and community centers. Contractors may also provide and install pre- <br />fabricated offices, restrooms, concession buildings, storage buildings and field houses. Work will include but is not be <br />limited to demolition, hazardous material survey and abatement, wood framing, masonry walls, concrete walls, footings <br />and slabs, ceramic tile work, stucco, drywall, plastering, structural steel and rigging, toilet room accessories and <br />partitions, cabinetry, painting, millwork, vinyl, ceramic tile, carpet, associated plumbing, electrical and mechanical work, <br />provide design, engineering and permits for existing and new park restrooms in accordance to the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA), and to bring all other facilities into compliance with ADA. <br />EXPEDITED AWARD AND EXECUTION OF CONTRACT <br />Due to RAP's need to complete the contract work associated with this RFQ as expeditiously as possible, the Board has <br />requested that all Respondents be advised of the following: <br />• It is the intention of the Board to award as -needed pre -qualified contract(s) to the Respondent(s) who meet the <br />minimum qualifications outlined in this document. All pre -qualified Respondents will compete for projects issued <br />by RAP on an as -needed basis. <br />• All Respondents are requested to cooperate to the fullest extent possible by submitting all required documentation, <br />and any additional documentation requested by staff as expeditiously as possible. Failure of any Respondent to <br />comply with the submittal requirements as defined in this RFQ or to submit any required additional documentation <br />by the date and time specified by staff may render the Response non-responsive, making the Respondent ineligible <br />for any future contract awards under this RFQ. <br />• It is the intention of the Board to award this contract as expeditiously as possible. The successful Respondent must <br />submit acceptable bonds, insurance, and any other required contract documents within five (5) working days after <br />award of any as -needed contract by RAP. <br />• The contract time is to begin on the day the Contract is awarded by the Board of Recreation and Park <br />Commissioners. Until such Notice to Proceed is issued, any work commenced or materials purchased will be at the <br />contractor's own risk, without necessary approvals, and the City will bear no liability therefore. (Note: The time <br />allotted for completion of construction begins on the actual date a notice to proceed is received by Contractor.) <br />• Any Respondent unable to meet the deadline requirements specified herein may be subject to rescission of the <br />contract award by virtue of being declared non-responsive by the Board. <br />RAP CONTACT FOR INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE <br />Requests for clarification of conflicts and/or omissions from the RFQ and/or contract documents shall be addressed in <br />writing to the Contract Administrator: <br />IMPORTANT — RESPONDERS MUST SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED FORMS (COMPLETELY FILLED OUT) BY RFQ <br />SUBMITTAL DEADLINE. <br />Page 11 of 103 <br />PM <br />
