Identify potential traffic calming measures as needed. <br />Consider holding neighborhood -based meetings on a consistent basis to build community support, address existing concerns, <br />and identify additional studies needed prior to implementation. Topics could include residential parking permit programs, traffic <br />calming, place -making opportunities, maintaining existing character, and organizing additional living previews. <br />Corridor -wide for grant applications and to understand benefits of project to increase bicycle volumes <br />Corridor -wide to work with impacted businesses along EI Camino Real to identify strategies to address potential loss of on -street <br />parking and access, especially for those that have limited off-street parking. <br />Potential strategies include: <br />• Shared parking <br />Off-site employee parking <br />Restriping for compact parking on side streets (angled parking) <br />• Short-term limits for parking on side streets to encourage turnover <br />Residential permit parking <br />• Designated loading/unloading zones at nearby locations (curbside management) <br />Consider establishment of a Property Based Improvement District (PBID) to organize business support and to fund <br />implementation of FHWA-recommended maintenance strategies for the protected bike lanes, including street sweeping. This <br />group could serve as a venue for discussing issues and strategies such as shared parking, place -making opportunities, and <br />additional"living preview" opportunities. <br />209 <br />
