CLK-Pamela Aguilar
From:
rslusr@earthlink.net
Sent:
Sunday, February 24, 2019 6:25 PM
To:
Council -Ian Bain; Shannon Guzzetta
Cc:
GRP -City Council; info@rsca.org
Subject:
Re: Redwood Shores should be ONE district
This e-mail is from an external source. Please do not open attachments or click links from an unknown or
suspicious origin. o5xrr2i
Thank you Mayor Bain.
4 of the 5 proposed maps (7-007b, 7-013b, 7019b, 7-022b) include part of Seaport Blvd, Bair Island Rd, and Maple Street
in District 1. This puts population deviation for District 1 at +7.27. This area also has significant open space that could
support more high density housing development which may increase the population deviation for District 1. Map 7-
021b more closely reflects the Redwood Shores community as one District.
Respectfully,
Robert Slusser
541 Cringle Drive
Redwood City, Ca 94065
650-593-3368
-----Original Message -----
From: Ian Bain
Sent: Feb 24, 2019 3:55 PM
To: Shannon Guzzetta
Cc: GRP -City Council , "info@rsca.org"
Subject: Re: Redwood Shores should be ONE district
Dear Shannon,
On behalf of the City Council, thank you for sharing your thoughts on district elections. The Council has heard
from Shores residents that they would like to be in one district, and that is the direction that the Council provided
to the demographer at the last meeting. On this page, you may find more information on the maps we are
currently considering:
https://www redwoodcity.oro/departments/city-clerk/district-elections
Again, thank you for writing to us.
Respectfully,
Ian Bain
