The realtor has been notified and <br />requested to coordinate site access with the owner. <br /> <br />For budgetary purposes, Fugro assumes that the chemical analysis will be tested on a 5- <br />day turnaround timeframe. If rush turnaround is required, the additional laboratory surcharge will <br />range between $1.000 and $2,500 depending on the turnaround time selected. <br /> <br />Fieldwork will be conducted using standard industry practices regarding worker safety, <br />equipment decontamination, and sample handling. Probes will be backfilled with neat cement <br />grout upon completion of sampling activities in accordance with San Mateo County Department <br />of Health Services drilling permit requirements. Soil samples for chemical analyses will be <br />collected in clean acetate or stainless steel liners. Groundwater samples will be collected in <br />laboratory-prepared bottles. Selected samples will be transported under appropriate chain-of- <br />custody documentation to a State-certified laboratory for analyses. <br /> <br />For purposes of this proposal, Fugro assumes that the fieldwork can be completed within <br />1 workday during normal working hours. It is also assumed that soil and rinsate derived during <br />this investigation will be temporarily stored on the vacant lot in a 55-gallon drum pending <br />disposal. Fugro will coordinate disposal of the investigation-derived waste and assumes these <br />wastes will be classified as non-hazardous. <br /> <br />Task 4 - Data Evaluation and Report Preparation <br /> <br />Fugro will evaluate the chemical data collected and compare results to applicable <br />standards. We will prepare a report summarizing the historic site uses, regulatory database <br />findings, and the investigation findings, including a site map showing probe locations, boring <br />logs prepared using the Unified Soil Classification System, and tables summarizing the results <br />of chemical analyses. The report will also include conclusions and recommendations regarding <br />the environmental findings. discussion of the site geology, and a summary of soil and <br />groundwater conditions encountered. <br /> <br />FEE ESTIMATE AND SCHEDULE <br /> <br />Fugro will provide the services described herein on a time-and-expense basis in <br />accordance with the attached Fee Schedule. Our fee estimate to complete this scope of work is <br />$20,707. Table 1 (attached) provides an itemized cost estimate to implement the services <br />described above. <br /> <br />We are prepared to begin work immediately and estimate that these services can be <br />completed within 4 to 5 weeks of receiving your authorization to proceed. We have scheduled <br />this work to commence based on your verbal authorization and desire to have the work <br />completed in early April.
