Continuing collaboration with other City boards and commission, such as the Historic Resources <br />Advisory Committee (HRAC) and the Architectural Advisory Committee (AAC), through annual <br />joint meetings. <br />2. Ensuring ongoing professional training and development for Planning Commissioners through <br />attendance at training and conferences. <br />3. Assisting with the Residential Design Guidelines study issue, by facilitating public input and making <br />recommendations to the City Council. <br />4. Reviewing the status of the 2010 General Plan implementation and considering approaches with <br />an update to the 20 -year plan. <br />5. Reviewing the status of the Downtown Precise Plan by reviewing current implementation <br />successes and challenges, considering various approaches to growth, and developing strategies <br />for public involvement. <br />Further details on these items, such as benefits to the community, resources needed, and estimated <br />completion times are located in the Final Work Plan in Attachment A. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Staff time is required to administer the work plan and to assist the Planning Commission in achieving <br />certain short-term goals and follow-up items. It is not anticipated that an additional appropriation will be <br />required this fiscal year. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The draft Planning Commission Work Plan is not considered a project within the meaning of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because the Work Plan is an organizational or administrative activity <br />that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment per Section 150378 (b)(5). <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council could provide alternative or additional direction on the work plan topics and projects or <br />prioritization. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Attachment A: Draft Planning Commission Work Plan <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />174 <br />
