The SAC's objectives are to encourage, foster, facilitate, establish, and maintain programs <br />for the enhancement of all matters relating to the social, economic, and personal wellbeing of the City's <br />senior population. Under Municipal Code Section 2.133, they have the following responsibilities and <br />duties: <br />• To recommend to the Council or Manager the establishment of programs by the City for senior <br />citizens in the City, and the establishment of programs which encourage and stimulate the <br />development and maintenance of senior programs and services furnished by others in the City, <br />and to review periodically such programs as are so established. <br />• To review and make recommendations to the Council and Manager regarding the funding of <br />senior programs and services that operate within the City for the benefit of the senior population <br />of the City. <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />185 <br />
