9.A. - Page 3 of 15 <br />City staff identified a total of 25 different homelessness services and programs. Between General Fund <br />and Community Development Block Grant funding, the City budgeted $734,500 towards these services in <br />Fiscal Year 2018-19. It is important to note that this does not include staff time associated with providing <br />homelessness services. If an individual program or service received City funding it is noted below and in <br />the Attachment 1. If funding is not noted, City funding was not provided in the current fiscal year, and <br />the non-profit is operating with other funding. The following list summarizes local homelessness services <br />and programs, and the Attachment 1 chart provides additional details. <br />• City of Redwood City (Fair Oaks Community Center Information and Referral Program): provides <br />basic emergency and safety net services — including assessment and referral for emergency housing <br />options for the homeless, homelessness prevention (deposit and rental assistance), utility assistance, <br />transportation assistance for homeless individuals. City Funding for Fiscal Year 2018-19: $421,276 <br />• City of Redwood City (Hoover Shower Programl: provides showers for the homeless at the Hoover <br />Pool Facility on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7am-10am. City Funding for Fiscal Year 2018-19: $7,500 <br />• Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA): Provides support for victims of Domestic <br />Violence including Emergency Shelter. City Funding for Fiscal Year 2018-19: $103,467 <br />• HIP Housing (Home Sharing Program): Works with home providers and home seekers to support <br />shared housing. City Funding for Fiscal Year 2018-19: $15,000 <br />• HIP Housing (Self -Sufficiency Programl: Provides housing assistance and support services to low- <br />income parents who are in school to increase their earning power and become financially self- <br />sufficient within 1-2 years. Participants receive subsidized rent while they complete an education or <br />job training program and find employment in their field. <br />• LifeMOVES (Maple Street Shelter): Provides emergency shelter and housing/support services for <br />single adults. City Funding for Fiscal Year 2018-19: $17,477 <br />• LifeMOVES (Redwood Family House): Provides emergency shelter and housing/support services for <br />families with children. City Funding for Fiscal Year 2018-19: $34,800 <br />• Mental Health Associates (Spring Street Shelter): Provides emergency shelter and housing/support <br />services for single adults with mental health diagnoses. <br />• Palm Ave Detox Center: (Social Model Detoxification Program): 15 -bed facility serving men and <br />women in San Mateo County who have co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. <br />• Project WeHOPE (Dignity on Wheels): provides mobile shower and laundry services for the homeless <br />on Monday and Wednesday afternoons at Fair Oaks Community Center and Friday mornings at the <br />South County Behavioral Health Clinic.
