<br /> 5.18 <br />2. Open the gates at the Marshall Street parking structure after 6 PM on July 3 and leave open utBbge 20 <br />normal operations on July 5. <br />Public Works: <br />1. Provide two street sweepers to be available at approximately 10:00 AM to pick up horse droppings <br />along the Parade Route and the designated horse lineup areas. Street sweeping is also requested for the <br />Festival area at approximately 7:00 PM after the Festival has closed on Tuesday, July 4. <br />It is requested that street sweeping in the Festival area not begin until 7:00 PM to allow vendors to <br />complete their breakdown and leave the area. <br />2. Provide street barricades for the Parade and Festival Area at the locations and times listed in <br /> Appendix B. <br />3. Provide traffic cones and street barricades for Parade, Festival areas, and other traffic diversion <br /> requirements as determined by the Police Department. The PCA will provide a list of times, <br /> locations, and quantity of barricades needed for the Parade and Festival. <br />4. Install American Flags along the Parade Route immediately before the Parade. On July 4, the flags <br /> are to be removed as soon as possible after the Parade, to reduce the possibility of theft. We request <br /> public works inventory existing nags and advise the PCA of the number on hand. <br />5. Use of a Fire Hydrant for Antique Fire Truck demonstration in the Festival Area following the <br /> Parade on July 4. Deliver sandbags if requested by PCA, to divert water runoff from the Antique <br /> Fire Truck demonstration. Specific locations and quantities of sandbags requested will be provided <br /> by the PCA. <br />6. Use of parking structure on Marshall Street for Handicap and Vendor parking on Tuesday, July 4 <br /> from 6:00 PM Monday, July 3 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 4. <br />Public Safety: <br />1. No Parking in the festival area from 6:00 PM Monday, July 3 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, <br />July 4. Posting of "No Parking" signs should be completed by 5:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28. <br />Enforcement of "No Parking" to begin 2:00 PM Monday, July 3 as required. <br />With permission from the Police Department, the PCA will post the signs in accordance with current <br />regulations, and remove the signs after the event. <br />2. Traffic Diversion - Festival area: <br />The following traffic diversion measures are requested for the safety of pre-event setup of booths, <br />stages, and miscellaneous facilities. Specific locations are: <br /> Jefferson Ave. from Veterans Blvd to Marshall S1. from 5:00 AM Tuesday, July 4 to 8:00 PM <br /> Tuesday, July 4. <br />3. Traffic Diversion - Parade area: (See attached map - Whipple Traffic Diversion) <br />The PCA is requesting the temporary closure of the left turn lane from west bound Whipple to Winslow <br />be closed from 8:00 am unti112:30 pm on Tuesday, July 4th to reduce traffic and to ensure the safety of <br />parade participants. <br />peA July 4. 2006 Page 4 of 5 Revised 5115/12006 <br /> ~..
