R 3 - It would be great if a citizen commission could draw the map, with input from city <br />staff and elected officials. The city staff likely have helpful expertise and would help inform <br />the citizens, who would ultimately make the decision about boundaries. <br />+1 3 - We should not have districts in Redwood City. This is just one more opportunity for <br />fraudulent gerrymandering. The council made a bad decision and should reverse it! <br />R 3. 1 agree citizens should be heavily involved, more so than the council itself. But right <br />now the consultant drawing up the maps probably understands the complexity of the city <br />better than either group. I'd like to see citizens work with the consultant or more individual <br />citizen input into the map. <br />�3 1 really don't know. Does a citizen commission have a council member present or taking <br />part in some way so as to provide background and guidance? ...And what's the problem with <br />including the marina area nearest to Redwood Shores In with Redwood Shores? Drawing district lines is a very <br />complicated process with many ripple effects. <br />3.
