MINUTE ORDER 06-135 <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> <br />A. AMENDMENT OF SEWER SERVICE CHARGES <br /> <br />Mayor Pierce opened the public hearing. There was no public cornrnent. <br /> <br />Council asked about the City's response to requests for rate structure adjustments <br />for seniors and others requesting such consideration. Utilities Committee Member <br />Foust stated that staff will study other rnunicipalities' processes for rate structure <br />with a report to be presented in late December or January. <br /> <br />MIS Foust/Aguirre to close the public hearing. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous roll call vote by those present with Council Member Howard <br />absent. <br /> <br />M/S Ira/Aguirre to: <br />1. Introduce ordinance arnending Redwood City Code - Section 27.100 - Sewer <br />Service Charges. <br />2. Approve, in concept, a loan of funds from the Water Enterprise Fund (rate <br />stabilization account) to the Sewer Enterprise Fund to provide sufficient cash to <br />make the Reserve Fund Contribution payment to SBSA by August 15, 2006. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27.100 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO SANITARY SEWERAGE SERVICE CHARGES <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by those present with <br />Council Member Howard absent. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion <br />of City Position on Proposed legislation described in the league of California <br />Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No. 24-2006. Council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of league of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's Department.) <br /> <br />Council Member Hartnett - stated his appreciation for the budget preparation <br />process, reports and document.
